Website Wednesday: We Move Vintage

In an effort to be a better blogger and second hander, I’ve decided to add another weekly post in addition to Current or Classic? The humpiest day of the week, Wednesday, will bring you a different website selling the finest of second hand fashions through the information super highway.

The first website in the new installation is We Move Vintage, an awesomely weird collection of vintage pieces that have left me going “ahhhh” and “ehhhh?” My friend Jackie (mentioned here) shared today’s site with me, as she often tends to do, because she wants me to be poor. WMV describes themselves as “an artists collective dedicated to bringing you the most diverse collection of vintage and non vintage items around” that  “centers it’s world around finding items that are valued on style and relevance.”

Here are some of my favorite items: This gorg kimono (left) is still for sale at $86, but the to die for cape, sold out… of course.

Major designer score, Escada skirt $155 and the envy of all the gals, 60’s peach party dress $64

Serious statement Guatemalan hand embroidered jacket, $68 and easy breezy (and cheapie), white lacy day jacket $38

This caftan was posted on WMV’s Facebook with a caption reading “The perfect dress for Coachella,” which is amazing, because I just bought a bad ass caftan for Coachella. Winning. This one is $56, I scored mine for $11 at Buffalo. Sheer dress, $58.

In addition to Website Wednesdays and Current or Classic on Fridays, I hereby solemnly swear to bring you new posts on Mondays about yours truly’s adventures in second handing. I’ve gotten a bit back logged, but not for lack of inspiration or want, solely due to a lack of time. But you, dear second handers, deserve more. So more you shall get!
